A Labor of Love ...

A person can do nothing better than to eat and drink and find satisfaction in their own toil. This too, I see, is from the hand of God,   for without him, who can eat or find enjoyment?  To the person who pleases him, God gives wisdom,   knowledge and happiness, but to the sinner he gives the task of gathering and storing up wealth t o hand it over to the one who pleases God.  This too is meaningless, a chasing after the wind. Ecclesiastes 2:24-26  Good morning ... I have worked hard my entire life. At age 13 I had to go to work to help my family out. My father had a brain hemorrhage at age 48. He, by the Grace of God, survived. However, he had to learn how to do everything again. Paralyzed on one side of his body and vision in only one eye. He stayed many months in the VA hospital and came home almost as bad as he was in the first day after his brain hemorrhage.  The VA hospitals at that time were horrible, so my mother brought him home. To which he...

But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:31 Good morning ... Well, here it is another week ...  Last week was a rainy week at that. Three days of rain and one without. So you have to jam pack all you can into that good day! So that's what I did. This week looks to be much of the same  Its hard to believe that as bad as this place was, that a weeks worth of hard work has paid off. So happy with the work that was done by some really nice people. There is much more to be done by me and a track hoe. I was there alone on Tuesday, I had the chance to really look around and get a feel for the land. A mental survey. The back half of this land reminds me of the farmhouse. Beautifully wooded, with both young and mature hardwood. The ground is covered by a blanket of golden brown leaves from too many past autumns to even count. Dry and slippery at the ...

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."  1 John 1:9 Good morning ... When I purchased this spot of land, I did so for a few reasons. The most important reason is simpmy this, I was following what God had set before me. Let me back up a little, I never have, and still do not believe in coincidence. I believe that our days are laid out before us, giving us choices.  I also believe "we" follow or we blaze our own path. I have learned when to follow and when to blaze.  Again, no coincidences ... And if I was to sit and tell this whole story as to why I put my house on the market, it would be a very long story indeed. One that started back in November. And one, that I'm not sure I want to write out on a phone. But, let me just say this, there was a chain of events that lead me to this land. Over a period of months and many signs were set before me. Now back to the land, it was a mess when ...

Therefore, take no thought about tomorrow, for tomorrow will take thought about the things of itself. Sufficient to the day is the trouble thereof. Matthew 6:34 Good morning ... Well here it is ... another week has flown right by me. I feel like I barley get to see Monday and I turn around and its Friday. Which makes me think back to my days of employment when I worked for the company that sells everything from A➡Z. I used to wish for Fridays on Monday!   So how ironic is it, that here I am with all those wished days now coming true and are at hand? Bad timing ... Or another lesson on this journey called life. I can only give this piece if advice ... Be careful what you wish for. Take each day as it comes ... Good or bad, as they both are created by God.  You see, without the bad ... We certainly would never appreciate the good. Something that I have learned over these past years. But there is also the school of thought that a bad can ultimately lead to something ...
